I am relatively new to the site and this is my first post. I have been amazed by the amount of useful information I've discovered over the last couple of months. It is definitely more personal than the pamphlets are available at Dr. # 39; s office. br My doctor has told me that I have fibroids which was confirmed by ultrasound. My uterus is similar in size to a woman who is 3 months pregnant. he says the main reason for me needing a hysterectomy is cervical hypertrophy (my cervix is more than I should and is close to that stand). I asked him to write the name of the condition so I could read. He said it was doubtful he would find plenty of information, and he was right. I found a book that was written in 1900 and some articles online, written by doctors in Asia that are difficult to follow. br My surgery is tentatively December 2009. I am an MBA student, and this is when I complete my career. I am so motivated to finish school I know I could not let my body heal properly if I had the surgery before completion. So I'm waiting. br br
